5 ways your orgasm affects your everyday life

You may think that because you are single or feeling a lull in your sex drive that you don’t really need to invest much time or energy into experiencing an orgasm.

Wrong. Definitely wrong.

Orgasms are a powerful way to bio-hack your system and give you a rush of some pretty epic brain chemicals. Here are a few epic reasons that you should be orgasm-ing often, regardless of your romantic situation.

1. Orgasms Boosts testosterone

In case you didn’t know, testosterone is a hormone that increases your memory, helps you build strong bones and muscles, as well as fights depression and fatigue. Physical activities of all kinds can boost this hormone in our bodies but sexual activities tend to give the best return on investment.

2. Orgasms Boosts your mood

Anecdotally you probably already know this. That post orgasm high vibe feeling is euphoric. Dopamine and oxytocin are two major chemicals that are released in our brains during an orgasm. These chemicals give us epic surges of love, pleasure, and motivation. Basically the most epic chemical concoction for the ultimate feel good moon.

3. Orgasms Can Expand Creativity

This is the area of the physical body that life generates from.. the greatest form of creation humans are capable of! It stands to reason that energizing this area through orgasms would boost creativity. That being said, energetically, your sacral chakra is said to be your main source of pleasure. This energetic center is also linked to your creativity. Many tantric lineages teach that increasing our pleasure sensation, like through orgasm, will build the energy to also express ourselves creatively.

4. Orgasms Promote Pelvic Health

If you are looking to work on the pelvic floor musculature or boost the health of your reproductive organs, then you are in luck! Orgasms are a great way to increase blood flow which carries nutrients to the organs and tissues of this area. You can also work on muscular tonicity through the natural contract / relax that occurs in the pelvic floor and surrounding muscles during an orgasm.

5. Orgasms Decreases the Urge to Punch People

Originally I thought this was just me, but through infallible scientific research (ie, an IG poll), I’ve discovered that this is actually true for most people. In all seriousness, given the chemical + hormonal cocktail we experience during an orgasm, our sense of frustration or anger is greatly dissipated when we orgasm. Fewer people getting punched = safer society = superhero power. In conclusion, basically orgasms make you a type of superhero.

There are many more than these 5 reasons and a lot more science to back it, but hopefully this enough to motivate you to get started on a consistent physical pleasure practice, solo or with a partner.

Your welcum.
